For over twenty years, the Emanuel County Bikers Nation Bike Ride in support of the Georgia Sheriffs’ Youth Homes has been a favorite. The December 2021 event, held in honor of the late Retired Sheriff Tyson Stephens, attracted a large turnout, including special guest Terry Pendleton, formerly of the Atlanta Braves. Riders were treated to lunch and other fun activities at Herrington Homestead where the route ended. Sheriffs from Emanuel County, Bulloch County, Burke County, Candler County and Richmond County were all involved in the event, and they extend a special thanks to Sylvia (Herrington Homestead Board of Directors) and Scott Cochran for organizing the ride for many years.
