What type of services do Youth Homes offer to children?
The children receive valuable training and services that help them grow into responsible, successful adults including physical, spiritual, academic, moral, work ethic and life skills education.
How will I know if the child I have submitted an application for is accepted?
After the application is returned to the Youth Homes, it is reviewed by an admissions committee to determine appropriate placement, and if he/she can benefit from the program. If so, he/she is asked to come for an interview and pre-placement visit. If the child meets the qualifications, the applicant will be notified of acceptance or denial of placement.
What are the requirements for a child to be accepted into a Youth Home?
Age requirement: 6-16 – Initial acceptance age. Children remain in care as long as they are in school, including secondary education. Children must be able to function in the public school setting.
Most of the children who come to Youth Homes are from dysfunctional families where neglect or abuse has occurred. Applications are reviewed to determine those children whose needs can be met in our programs.
