Georgia Sheriffs’ Association

The Sheriffs of Georgia are also very proud to sponsor full-time residential care for Georgia’s dependent, abused, abandoned and neglected children at five campuses through Georgia Sheriffs’ Youth Homes.

The purpose of the Association is to promote and improve law enforcement in Georgia, to provide training and education for sheriffs, deputy sheriffs and other sheriff’s office staff, and to maintain an active voice in the Georgia General Assembly on matters relating to public safety, law enforcement and Georgia’s criminal and juvenile justice systems.

The Georgia Sheriffs’ Association is a 501(c)(3), non-profit organization comprised of the 159 county elected Georgia Sheriffs and nearly 70,000 honorary members who support our programs, objectives and goals.
