As the sponsoring organization for the Georgia Sheriffs’ Youth Homes, Inc., the Georgia Sheriffs’ Association would like to introduce you to a program with great interest to many of our contributors – The Georgia Sheriffs’ Youth Homes “Memorial Program”. When a friend or loved one dies, contributions may be made to this fund. An attractive card is forwarded to the family advising them of your gift … but not the amount. An acknowledgement and receipt are forwarded to the contributor, and a listing of the deceased’s name and contributor’s name is printed in the Georgia Sheriffs’ Association’s publication, “The Georgia Sheriff”. This program is also an excellent way to honor someone special to you; perhaps a birthday, anniversary, congratulatory event, thank you, or just to say “you’re a special person”. You may complete a contribution form by mail; or call our toll free number, 1-800-321-9191. We will send an acknowledgement immediately. Your contribution is deductible under Federal Tax Regulation, 501(c)(3), for tax purposes. All contributions to the Memorial Program are used exclusively for the higher education for our graduating high-school seniors or capital building improvements. We have found that many families deeply appreciate a memorial gift being made to a charity in honor of their friend or loved one. In fact, many have told us they save and cherish these cards as a memento.
