Services for Children – How to Apply
A Wholesome Learning Environment
For over 50 years, Georgia Sheriffs' Youth Homes has provided quality care for hundreds of children. It is the commitment of the Sheriffs of Georgia to continue this history.
There are five campuses across the state. Children live in a structured, loving environment. They attend public school and are offered spiritual and moral training. They also receive other valuable training and services that help them grow into responsible, successful adults. These include:
-
Educational Support: Daily tutoring, trips to the library, summer learning programs, college and vocational school scholarships and more.
-
Recreation: Children are involved in extra-curricular activities in school and the community.
-
Summer Vacation: Outdoor adventures like camping, professional sporting events, movies, and other structured programs and field trips.
-
Life Skills Training: Children cook, clean, do laundry, and learn money management – everything they need to live responsibly.
