The Mission of the Georgia Sheriffs’ Youth Homes is:

  • To provide quality child care for Georgia’s children who may be products of physical and emotional neglect, physical and sexual abuse, and disrupted families.

  • To provide opportunities for boys and girls in care to resolve their personal conflicts, find their identities, and learn proper values as they work toward a lawful, productive and secure future.

This mission will be accomplished through continued development of child care centers located strategically throughout the state.  These programs provide counseling, residential care, camping, independent living and alumni services.
